Last week, I went through the country by decorating villager homes and facilities for the country theme. There are older and smaller schools and hotels in the country. Southern themed restaurants are always nice. And you can find country furniture stores and general stores in small towns. And for the villagers that became bucolic, Walker has a cabin within a forest, Fauna lives in a campsite in the forest, Groucho had his own farm, Diana lives in a country home, and Sly owns a fishing lake with a dock.
This week, we’re still going to stay in the countryside, but this time, we’re going to an even emptier part of the country. Or we can go back to the city. Regardless, trees are changing colors to the colors of the fire and the wood. Does this sound familiar? Yep, we’re going to the fall theme, and here’s why:
After a long and hot summer, the weather has cooled down. Lush, green forests turn into yellow, orange, red, and brown forests with the grass being yellow or brown. Fall is about the leaves falling off of trees, and the temperatures cooling down. It may be the driest season, but also the most beautiful. Since it is October, I would like to have at least one seasonal theme before the season ends. In fact, throughout the entire time I spent playing Happy Home Designer, it is fall.
What can we do in the fall? We can bake sweets, drink cider, harvest fruits and vegetables, scare people into giving you candy by wearing a costume, and eat large turkey dinners. Oh, and I forgot to mention, decorate for the holidays? Even if my birthday is during the coldest days of the winter, fall is my favorite season. Halloween is my favorite holiday, especially when it comes to decorating. Day of the Dead is a very interesting holiday since it’s about remembering the ancestors who died. And Thanksgivings is a holiday we should be thankful for. Each fall has something good and bad about them. Every four fall seasons, the first autumn is a wonderful one. The second, not too much. The third, it’s awesome. But the fourth is the worst. Why? It’s because of the presidential elections and how they dominate the news and media. Even schools talk about them a lot.
One more thing. Remember the forest background I chose for Fauna’s house? It’s going to be everywhere. I decorated my facilities and villager homes with that forest background, so you better expect to see it everywhere. And even if Halloween, Day of the Dead, and Thanksgivings are major fall holidays, they will not appear in this week’s theme. They might be in future weeks, around the times they are available.
